Notes New Neighbors, Welcome!

If you are a new neighbor we would like to welcome you to the neighborhood. Let us know you are here, fill out the registration form.

Important Notice

Recently a group of kids had been damaging personal property, stealing, and running through yards.

These kids occasionally congregate near the intersection of Pintail Ct and Morning Dove Lane, but have been seen throughout other parts of the neighborhood.

In recent weeks they've been viewed pounding on mailboxes, removing mail from mailboxes, cursing at people passing by, and throwing rocks.

The Forsyth County Sheriff is aware of this problem and has been to the neighborhood trying to determine at which home these kids live. He could use your assistance.

If you've had trouble with this group of kids, or you know at which house they live, please email board@hunters-run.org and we will forward the information to the Sheriff. All tips and emails will be kept confidential.

Neighborhood Watch Program

FBI statistics show that a neighborhood which has an active neighborhood watch is more likely to prevent crime before it occurs, so we are going to do it and need your participation.

The neighborhood watch program is designed to teach citizens how to reduce the likelihood of becoming a victim of crime and in order to implement the program we need to have one Block Captain for every ten houses in our subdivision.

The Block Captains will work directly under the Liaison and need to take tree classes at the police precinct. Please understand that this is not designed for participants to take risks or intervene in criminal disturbances.

If you want to participate please contact us.

Changing the Exterior of Your Home

Want to add a new fence to your home? Thinking of painting your house magenta? Please remember that the Covenants require that anything done to alter the exterior of your home needs prior approval from the HOA. Front yard landscaping, house paint, fences, and new front doors are just a few examples of items that need prior approval. Those who fail to submit an approval request before proceeding will be fined and will, in most cases, be forced to reverse or remove the alteration.

Requests may be submitted through the website.

Dues

There are still many of your who've not paid your annual HOA dues, and many who have short-paid, as well. It's critical that you submit your payment ASAP in order to avoid costly late charges, and, if permanently ignored, a lien against your property. Your annual dues provide for common area lawn maintenance, electricity for both the front entrance and street lamps, and many other important items that help make our neighborhood an attractive, safe place to live. So please, in order to avoid further fines and penalties, please pay your HOA dues today.

Discussion Forums

It is common that few people are involved with their Home Owners Association (HOA).

Some of us only realize we have a HOA when we have to pay the annual fees or because we receive an invitation to comply with the covenants.

Wouldn't be great if we could create a stronger association? If we could have a community where we would know, care and support each other?

This web site can help and that is why we have created this forum where all the Home Owners of Hunters Run can post messages and interact in a safe environment.

Give it a try, read what the others are saying, add comments or start a new topic. Participate!
